Im at a crossroads in selecting between the mur1a & the seekins "tri shaped" upper.  Both units are fairly similar and more attractively "billet", so I am looking for some technical advise or personal knowledge in regards to the pros/cons.

Anyone have any experience with "both" of these?

BTW- my lower is a DSA ZM4, Stag LPK, MP Pistol Grip,  and looking to build 5.56 with 1/7 twist. The rest I am still deciding.

 Thanks in advance.

I think the current generation of Murs are forged. http://vltor.com/mur.htm

I'm working on a new build myself and I went with the Mur. There was no technical reason behind my choice, just Vltor's reputation and aesthetics.
I don't expect it to perform any differently than any other receiver.

Ive heard of the billet out performing the forged hands down. At least thats what my gun shop is telling me. I know my lower is forged, but i was told the upper was better if as a billet. So I was just comparing which one I wanted to get.
