I want to add a VTAC sling to my SBR. Will this work?

I've never used this type of connection before. As a matter of fact I've never used anything but the stock sling attachments/swivels on my ARs but I would like something better.

ETA- I'm left-handed so that's the reason for the left-handed plate in the pic. They're on sale at Ranier too so I could get two or three for my other ARs while I'm at it.

I've not saw one like that one. I take it, that the attachment only accepts 1 in slings?

You might think about adding a quick disconnect (or two).

Something like this?:

The only problem is that I've got to get the proper mount for the fore end. I don't have a rail on my SBR yet.

The VTAC will work with either. If the VTAC is used with the Gear Sector mount you should be aware that this sling does not have any quick disconnect  provisions built into it, although
these can be added if you desire.

I would recommend the Noveske QD Receiver mount and purchase a QD swivel to attach to the VTAC. This is a much better overall setup.

As far as your rail, most newer styles now have built in sockets that accept QD Swivels.

Add an IWC Tri-glide, two point to  one point mount and you now have the best of both.
