| Are heavy barreled varmit type AR's considered not versitile enough for anything other than Hunting and Long range precision shooting? Take for instance the 18" or 20"RRA Varmit if fitted with front and rear BUIS and a quick detach mount for an high magnification scope. Would this be considered inferior to an a high magnification scoped 20 " HBAR barreled A4 rifle with BUIS for self defense? |

what kinda scope on the 20in--red dot or a serious magnification scope? i would not consider varmit bbled ARs bad for self-defense, it would depend on the area ( urban, rural, indoors, outdoors, etc) presonally, i would rather have the 20in (of your choices) with a red-dot for self-defense casue it would be lighter and easier to manuver |
