I saw this thread and I want one with the QDs. www.ar15.com/lite/topic.html?b=3&f=19&t=345325 Who sells them besides NVBGear. Not that I have a problem with him, but it seems nobody else carries them with the QDs and that gives me pause. I checked Blue Force, Bravo, MI, EE...none. Is there a problem with that version? What's the deal? Thanks. 1 more...are QDs all a standard size...as in, can I use an MI MCTAR-08 as the base? www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=80 |

Magpul sells them, as do plenty of other dealers. No problem with any of the ones I've used. Nor are there any problems that I've ever heard of with that variant. If you like the VCAS, you will like the VCAS w/QDs. www.magpul.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=82_107 |

The reason there are none on EE is once someone buys it they don't want to sell it These are the real deal made by Blue Force gear to address the folk who do not want / need the fastex buckle and have the hardware on their rifles to allow them to use the QD's. Of those mounts on that page you would want to go with the MI MCTAR-08HD, that is the size the VCAS-PB takes and what all of the QDs I stock take. |
You're right Stick...magpul does have black with QDs...but I haven't seen them any where else. Who are the plenty of others? Specifically, I like Coyote B. NVBGear...thanks for the clarification. I sense a Cmas gift order coming... |

Magpul carries each of the colors that Blue Force Gear makes in the QD VCAS. The drop down menu shows the different ones. If you are looking for a specific color that Magpul doesn't carry, you may want to contact BFG directly. Blue Force Gear does carry the QD version, but for some reason, they don't have it shown on their website. They have always been very nice whenever I have called with any question, or to make an order. |

I thought this was the QD version...only a radio button for Black? It says "push button", but that it also includes the Fastex. Plenty of places to buy from that make sense...to me ![]() Thanks all for the help. www.magpul.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=82_107&products_id=266 |
Need a FDE, will be putting it on my Christmas list I have the CTR which as you know accepts a QD and I think I would like to get a rail system in the future but as of now I don't have one (so I have no where to attach the front QD). I think I will end up getting the GG&G thinga-ma-jig that attaches to the front site post and accepts the QD. |

A friend and I each have gotten ours from Operation Parts. Great price and FAST delivery. Operation Parts Vickers Sling |
Stick, you have any pictures of that set-up for the guy? |
Tlhat's the exact setup I run. No fastex on the rear, except for the tri glide and I run the fron through a QD I already had. I'd recommend just getting the standard Vickers and picking up a DD or an MI rail mount, QD for up front. If you have a rail that already has a mount, such as a DD Omega, then just buy a single QD. However, you could also buy a double QD sling and just have an extra QD piece. |

I realize I'm a FIN idiot....but I cannot figure mine out. I have it on a Noveske N4 w/ MI swivel mounts...on the right side of the weapon as i'm a lefty. My SWAT instructor can't either!! He put it on backwards like a righty. Do you think of I sent the swivels & sling to them they would show me the way??? WOW feeling weak w/ this matter. |
Are you having problems routings the QDs into the webbing? The adjuster is towards the front of the weapon, if you have the non-push button VCAS, the fastex should be there as well. If this did not help, give a call and shuld be able to fix you up. |
I think it says that everything is included, but that setup does include everything to mount the sling on my M4, correct? I do not have to purchase any extra contraptions to mount it on? And is the mounting setup it comes with strong? Thanks |
If your M4 has the Colt style front sling mount that attaches to the side of the barrel at the FSB, then, yes, the standard Vickers sling will work. If you do not have this side mount, I HIGHLY recommend you pick up either the M4 adapter, which wraps around the handguards OR the UWL (Universal Wire Loop). Either one would work great. |
