Mods, I posted this in the Larue Forum so if you don't want it in two places just delete this. I just wanted to show this here so it got a little more views and people might enjoy seeing this.
A buddy and I were out on the farm today and I thought I would demonstrate the re-zero capability of the Larue Tactical tall micro mount (AKA: LT660). Not that I ever figured it would not re-zero, but I wanted to test it myself as I think it is fun to do and also makes me feel that much better about the equipment. The distance was 50 yards give or take and the target was AR500 plates 10" in diameter. Aimpoint Micro + LT660 = Win Excuse the not so great video quality as it was with my cell phone camera. My other video camera wasn't working for some reason. ETA: Thank you Mark and Larue Tactical for making a product I can count my life on. I love your stuff. |

It's great to make a video about such things, but most mounts are capable of holding somewhere 'around zero' especially at that range and the diameter of the target. I've had cheapo $6.00 mounts that returned 'near zero' and that would hit a 10" plate at that range. I'm not bashing, just being realistic. Seeing how much the zero shifts (or not shifts) is what proves 'return to zero capability'.
I have a few LaRue mounts and have removed & replaced them MANY times. I know that they return to zero. This thread proves it. In this thread they are aiming at a specific point and they show that the POI is dead on. Nice shootin by the way! |
