I have heard a lot of complaints about these scopes having defects, such as the reticle being off-center. However, on the plus side, I have heard that Viper has great customer service and is quick to replace faulty AR Optics.

I've heard of some of these defects AND have also heard that Vortex has great CS. The four Vortex scopes I have are perfect...very good glass and accurate w/e adjustments. They also have some of my favorite reticles.

I have a Vortrex red dot that failed fast. Their CS and response is very good. I do believe I got it back less than two weeks.

I also have their 1-4 scope which is nice and clear.

I have one in 6-24x50 and haven't had any issues with it.
