I am thinking about buying an upper vice block, I see several types, what type you think is the better upper vice block?
Also dose the flash hider unscrew or is it weld on my CMMG upper. It has the crush washer so I think it should unscrew. |

pics, but unless it is shorter than 16 inches it should not be permanantly attatched. I have both a DPMS "Panther Claw" upper block and a pair of aluminum barrel vise blocks. The aluminum blocks cost me under $20, while the Panther Claw cost about $40. For a flash hider, I'd definitely use the vise blocks, and I'd hold the barrel between the flash hider and FSB when I attempted to do anything with the flash hider. |

Best vice block I have used as long as you are building a flat-top upper…
