| Are the VLTOR CASV-EL Free-float Handguards any good? |
|
Yes. I'm sure Stick will be along to post pictures. As I understand it.... They are well made. They are easy to install. They tend to be a bit heavy because of the design. They wrap around the FSB. (Which I like) The rails are modular so you put them where you need them, and now where they are not needed. Without the rails they are nice and slim. They work well with Aimpoints but not with Eotechs since the top rail places the Eotech to high to cowitness with the sights. You are limited on which rear sights you can use since it only allows a limited amount of spave behind the top rail. |

| I really like this handguard but I have a midlength so it is out of the question for now. I emailed them and asked if they planned on making a midlength version and they told me that one would be out before the end of the year. Luckily I wasn't planning on getting an FF handguard till next year. Anyways, if I am trying to plan ahead, which rear flip sights fit? Which don't? |

Altav, Good to see im not the only one that has the CASV, and ARMS 40 and the EOTECH setup. Mine has been rock solid since day one. As far as which BUIS will not fit behind it, I emailed Eric at VLTOR and asked him, he said all of them will fit except the Matech 600 BUIS. |
