Many years ago I was one of the first kids on the block with the Vltor MOD stock. The thing I never liked about it was the lack of a rubber buttpad and it was about the same length as a USGI Gen II M4 stock which I consider too short. What length is the IMOD equivalent to? |

I have both the Modstock and IMOD, their length are the same without the rubber buttpad at 6.25" (also per Vltor's site).
The IMOD stock length with the buttpad are 6.626". With the optional rubber buttpad on the old Modstock they're both pretty close lengths. My Modstock too was my first upgrade from my LMT M4 stock back in early '05, no problems with it except I prefer to use the optional rubber buttpad which if I don't tie down it easily comes loose or occasionally falls down to the ground. |
