I've read that it is easy to do your self but in the Vltor instructions i just got it strongly sugested that i have a qualified gunsmith do it.  I want to remove my bushy stock and put on the modstock.  Never done it but i'm not an idiot.  Should i attempt it.  I'v assembled the rest of my lower with no problems.  Also anyone know of better instructions than on the assembly guide here.  Thanks

Lets go down the list of things you need:

Not an idiot - check.

Do you have the proper tools to remove and install the locking ring?  If not, get them.

Righty-tighty - lefty loosey.  Got a handle on that?  Good, you'll need a handle on that concept.

Can you hold one thing in place while screwing another in?  In other words, can you do two things at once?  Good, you'll need to be able to do that also.

Good luck.
