Hi all,
I recently purchased a Vltor Modstock and for the most part it's a great stock. However, there is one issue I have and was wondering if anyone else had it. The battery storage compartments are made to store three 123 batteries. The problem is, there's about an inch of unused space and the batteries rattle kind of cheesy for a tactical stock IMO hinkJust curious, Thanks.

Geejar,

Leave your AR behind in tactical situations until you kill an enemy, preferably in some gruesome but totally silent way. Then take a pound of your enemies flesh and use that instead of foam to silence the battery compartment.  I think this is the "cooler idea" you are looking for!h

Most Sincerely,

VileWrench

Alternatively you could store an inch of cheesestick in there for emergency cheesiness.

Anyways.  Yes OP get some foam and stick it up in there.  That's the best way to keep them from rattling.

I found myself with the same issue.
Foam will work, but I started thinking "why not put something in that will prove practical"?
I started with cleaning patches, and then ended up with foam disposable ear plugs.
Put something in there that you might use, better than something just to silence noice.
