Anyone's thoughts or experiences?

For a monolithic upper, the MRP seems to be the bee's knees, but way too much money...
The VIS looks like a good option for $300+ less.

I have a vltor vis on my 7.5 Noveske upper and that thing is a work of art. You wouldn't be disappointed.

I run a 12" VIS on my Noveske.

To tell you the truth, unless you like the look, there really is no advantage over a good upper /  rail combo.

I just got the VIS because I wanted one........... and they're dead sexy

I have a Noveske N4 14.5" with VIS.

Wouldn't trade it for two MRP's.  The VIS is a great system, and Noveske makes a great barrel.  Quick-change barrel feature is near useless to me, because I can't carry enough pills to burn out the N4 barrel anyways.

The barrel is easy enough to change on the VIS - not field expedient per se, but if you were in that kind of situation you'd already know you need the MRP.  99.99% of us are not.

YMMV.

I have a 10.5" SBR with a VIS2A and am happy with it.  It's a very well built and thought out platform.

Very happy with my VIS II with BCM hammer forged barrel. I especially like the smaller diameter of the rails, not much bigger than the M4 hand guards.
