Does anyone know if the Vltor VIS has M4 feedramps?
Thanks! |

yes you will need to take the front sight off to install the Included barrel nut. If you have a conventional barrel nut on it already, you will need to remove it and replace with the Vltor one.

Cool thanks! Another question: I have a Sabre Barrel that already has the flip-up front sight mounted. Will I have the remove the sight to instal it onto the VIS or to use the "included barrel nut" that is needed for the VIS? Thanks for the info!! Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Yes it has the barrel nut is already on. Is it difficult to remove the tront sight on a sabre? This is my first complete build and I am afraid to screw up something. Here is a like to the barrel I have so you can see what sight i am dealing with. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=820205 If you think it is more trouble than its worth to use the VIS (the order can be canceled) what is a good quality free float handguard that will give me a comtinous rail and use the standard barrel nut? |
| Pins can either be easy or a real bitch to get out if you have the right tools. The VIS is a nice product, I have one myself and it was worth it to me. If you decide to go with another free float handguard, odds are you will have to remove the front sight anyway unless you go with one of the Daniel defense omega handguards. Which VIS did you order? I might take it off your hands if you decode against it later. |
