Does it weigh too much that it affects handling?

| I decided not to go with the VIS because of weight. According to this article that I found, the VIS runs a solid 6+ ounces more than something like the DD. I suppose you have to pay for that added rigidity with some weight. |

I have the rifle length on a long barreled rifle. The weight doesn't bother me, I knew it would be heavy with a 26" tube. I personally don't like the width of it. The railed end is just as wide as it is tall. Most float tubes are narrow in width and tall only because they have to be to match the flat top's height.
New models are available from other vendors that use the one piece concept with a "right sized" rail section. |
