Just curious if anybody is using a Vortex Spitfire 3x prism sight.  I really liked looking at it in the store, but I was wondering about how it performs long run in just various target shooting from 0 to 200+ yards.  Any information is appreciated just kind curious if anybody is using it for themselves.  Just looking for a review about it from multiple people.

Thanks,

I've got one on my 6920 and really like it. The reticle is easy to use and hits at extended ranges are not difficult.

I have one and love it. So nice to have some magnification with both eyes open. Great reticle too. Etched into glass.
I'm actually saving for another one!

anyone running a reflex sight or anything else on the 45 degree rail?  How does the balance feel?

Lol

I put one of those very small red dot sights up there. Felt comfortable enough but because it was so high above the bore there was no way to get a useful zero. Shoulda seen that one coming.

Wanna buy it so you can come to the same conclusion?

OP, I know you asked about the 3X version, but FWIW, I have 2 of the 1X version and like them a lot, no problems. One is on a 9mm AR, only used it to 50 yards. The other is on a PSA lightweight mid-length and have used it to 100 yards.

I love my Vortex Spitfire 3x.  The itched reticle doesn't give me a starburst effect like red dots due to my eyes.   Perfect for sub 200 yds.  Better at 100 or less.  I choose the Vortex over the Burris prisms because Burris did not reply back to any of my emails or phone calls.   Vortex actually called me and offered me to come tour their HQ.

Any of you have any experience with the Vortex Sparc II?  I ordered one a couple days ago, hoping it's gonna hold up.

Just FYI the one pictured above is the 1x. The 3x is a bit bigger.

I played with one a little bit last weekend and could not get used to 3X magnification on close in targets.
If I were to go optic I would prefer a 1 X 4 or 6 YMMV

nope...I had the same concern...I run BUIS...if the glass cracks...I'll yank it and go old school ;)
I'm tempted to put a visible laser on it...but i have a feeling it will be a pain in the ass and be easier to mount it o the roward rail

You'll love it.  Reviewed, it is known as the red dot that won't die.

Thank you for the link to the review.  Now I'm wondering if I should return the Strikefire II for the Sparc II.

Have had it on mine now for 2 years, zeroed at 50 yards, I love it honestly, easy to use reticle, easy to use, clear and crisp

I have troy folding sights, and there is enough clearance between them and the scope, so if the scope breaks, I will just run my irons

Well, mine came in today.  First thing that struck me was how light and small it was, not quite what I was expecting for size.  I instantly fell in love with it.   I'm looking for another one now.
