I just got a Vortex Strike Eagle from Ikon Goods through Amazon.  $282.99.  Because they are sold separately, I didn't expect it to have the flip-up lens caps.  But, it did.  I read many reviews before I purchased it, but was not prepared to be so impressed with it.  The reticle is very crisp and illuminates well.  The 6X magnification brought objects much closer than I had anticipated.  I ordered a P.E.P.R. mount from Burris.  I can't wait to slap it on my Colt 6920 and get to the range.  Thanks, Vortex, Ikon, and Amazon.

Cheers,

Jack

It is a pretty nice scope.  Ive been contemplating taking the Viper PST 1-4 off my M4V5 so I can jump to a Strike Eagle.

I know you already ordered the mount but if you end up not liking it Aero makes very light weight, very nice mounts.

Thanks.  I will keep that in mind.  I might hit the range today.  Will report back.

I run one on an aero mount and love it.  I'm considering selling my T1 and keeping the strike eagle on my go to rifle.

I dont think a strike eagle is a jump from a PST series, other than magnification.

Im in a debate with myself which if these to purchase. I have a 2.5x10 pst now, and its great. Im think i should stick with that series.

Yea I hear ya. I just want some more magnification and I can't afford a Razor HD.

Love my Strike Eagle.  Have about 1000 rounds on it through my 5.56 AR.  Only issue is the spring mechanism on the front flip cover fell apart.  Otherwise, clear, distortion-free, and rock solid.

I added the throw ring.. SV4 I think.  20 bucks off right now and it makes a heck of a difference when trying to adjust power settings.   http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-switchview-throw-lever-sv-4

I run one in an aero mount also. Really like the scope. Only complaint is the weight but your can't have everything at such a great price.
