On my 'precision' AR I have a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15. It's great, and I love it, but it's overkill.
On my Remington 700 I have a SWFA SS 10x. Although I've made hits at 1000 with it, I'd like better clarity / resolution at distance. I'm considering selling both scopes, and picking up two Viper PSTs. Probably a 2.5-10 for the AR and the 4-16 for the 700. Part of the reason is to pick up some additional quality / clarity / resolution, and part of the reason is to move to a mil/mil configuration for the AR. In both cases I'd buy FFP. From my research, it seems that the Vortex Viper PST line falls somewhere in-between the Nightforce and SWFA. I'm curious as to where, and looking for opinions on this upgrade / downgrade. Thanks. |
