| How is the 7.62 WOLF working in the GI System of the AR15??? |
|
as always, the magazine is the weakest link. The CProducts mag seems to work well, so that problem is moot--for my wife's rifle anyway. I'm glad I gave Larry and his crew a chance to rectify the problems we had with the first mag we bought....it didn't work at all, and after the long wait, I was pretty upset. another problem with Wolf is the hard primers. My wife's rifle is set up with a MGI bolt/firing pin, and it has a standard trigger pack. It hasn't missed a beat yet, but some folks with standard firing pins and hammer springs have reported light primer strikes. Surprisingly, the 122gr black box Wolf seems to be pretty accurate for what it is....3-4 MOA is plenty for our needs, and that's no worse than the Radway/Guat surplus we normally shoot in our .223 ARs. We haven't had any problems with the varnish/lacquer/sealant sticking to the chamber, but we don't really run this gun very hard.....maybe 100-200 rds per session, and a good chamber scrubbing afterwards. All in all, it's one of our favorite rifles. |
