I have a DPMS that had a problem-free stock trigger.
Wanted something alittle cleaner, so I dropped in a McCormick single-stage/curved.  Its been OK for about 150rounds, but I'm getting ready for a high-round count carbine course and I keep hearing how aftermarket triggers have a tendency to shit the bed...so I threw the stock trigger back in.

Now it feels like crap.  It works and passes all function tests, but...
At first I thought I was just spoiled by the CMC trigger, but I don't think so.  The reset is different than before.  Loud, forceful...just different.
Did the so called oversized CMC pins (didn't seem oversized on installation) do something to my receiver?
Should I just stick with the McCormick and not worry about "aftermarket durability issues" with this product?
Any thoughts?

I would strick with the aftermarket.  My JP trigger has a little over 1k on it and no problems. The Key with KP triggers is to use your org springs and throw those yellow ones out. The yellow work ok for about 1.5k rounds then become weak and you get light hammer strikes on PMC 5.56 and XM193 ammo.

Thanks guys.
I guess I'm just going to take the aftermarket setup to the course...and a back-up AR

Actually, the CMC drop-in has given me no indication of being less than 100%.

Well, update...my McMormick trigger just went tits-up at about the 200-250 rounds mark today...I must have jinxed myself.
The trigger doesn't move (like the rifle is on safe) and the hammer stays back...it won't release.  The first time it did it, I charged the bolt and the rifle fired...for a couple of shots.  Then it did it again, but charging the bolt isn't helping this time.

Back to stock for me!

Go to love it when a untested device goes south during a training session.

Hope you had better luck with the back up unit.

When I got home and removed the CMC trigger, I found out that a piece had broke off of the rear of the trigger (underneath the safety) and it jammed everything up.

This was the fun gun...not the work gun (this happened at the range, not the upcoming school).  Admin would sh%t kittens if anyone dropped an aftermarket trigger into one of their guns.

Are the CMC FCG parts casted, MIM, or forged???
