Vote with your feet. Unless you are way out in podunk center, you should have somewhere around that is less expensive than that. No Gander Mountains around here, but we've got Sportsman's Warehouse and Wal-Mart, both of which have .223 (Federal American Eagle and Remington UMC respectively) for less than $4 a box. Sportsman's Warehouse has Winchester white box 62gr FMJ for $5.50 a box, and I thought that was high enough... Even the worst LGSs are < $6 a box... |
| Wallys Wrold in your area has Federal fro less than 4 bucks a box? You are lucky. Cant even find Federal Amer Eagle at Wallys world in my area. I do buy their value pack 0f 10 boxes of 50 grain HP for 52 bucks plus tax.. And no more winchester 40 orund FMJ value packs left. |
No, I said "respectively" (same order as previously listed)... meaning SW has Federal American Eagle and WM has Remington UMC. Prices respectively are $3.99 a box and $3.97 a box... meaning SW has AE for $3.99 a box and WM has UMC for $3.97 a box... Oh, SW offers $1 off per 5 boxes of AE223 you buy, so its a bit cheaper if you buy a bunch. |
