| About to buy a new AR and have it narrowed down to a Geissele Superduty 16". Started out looking at DD V7 of Geiselle Superduty. Everything I read and look at pushes me toward the Geissele. I could be moved to buy something different but my real question is where should I look online to buy a Geisselle for the best deal. There aren't any dealers anywhere remotely near me with any instock so I am going to be ordering no matter what I decide to do. |

Eurooptic is the best place I have found for both. Primary Arms is the second place I look. I picked up a 14.5" Super Duty and my buddy has the 16" heavy barrel Super Duty. His heavy barrel 16" is still very handy. |

| You can dump as much money into a “Gucci” gun as you want, but you likely want gain much other than increased resale value. If you want to be thrifty, get a cheap complete lower from PSA or assemble a lower with decent quality internals, throw a ALG Defense trigger in it and then select the “Gucci” upper of your choice. |

This is a very good way to get a really functional(precise, smooth, etc) rifle. As someone mentioned above, the craftsmanship of a complete rifle does give a good warm fuzzy too. |

It just “feels” better overall but I also think once you have a well built factory gun you’ll probably get bored of your home built guns. My thought is you’ll eventually sell off your home builds and just settle on a couple of well built factory guns and spare parts. |

I'm a low budget AR guy. Sub 1k. Then 1 day, a deal I see, a $3k+ new Noveske G3 Mk12 type build for $1.4k. Less than half price?! Noveske G3 Receivers, Douglas Duracoat barrel, aems brake, PRI sight, rail, toob/LMT rear, Geissele HSNM trigger, etc. Well, to shoot these high end ARs right, it seems I also needed to buy more than my plinking/budget ammo. Like $1 per round ammo. After about 100 rounds of the best ammo I had, 62gr green tip, it became a safe queen. Until 2 years later, I sold on gafs marketplace for $1350 just for the complete upper. Kept the noveske g3 lower with noveske lpk, geissele hsnm trigger, colt a2 stock. High end AR also means high end ammo. I'll stick to my sub 1k ARs, and even if I get a $950 AR upper, it is sub $1k with this high end lower I have left.

I wanted to do the same thing as OP, buy a high quality complete factory assembled rifle. Went with the Geissele 16” super duty and don’t regret it one bit. Very nice, accurate, quality rifle that feels like a complete and well thought out package. Added an optic, light, sling, suppressor and called it done. |
