Aside from ziplocks (which can have spotty sealing and easily get holes), how do you guys store 1 or 2 coin cells in waterproof manner in your pistol grip? |

Saran wrap? Heat shrink? Can even add a silica packet. Crap, I was going to say sammich baggies before I read your requirements. I don't even use the ziploc bags, I just use the regular fold over ones. | You can significantly improve the shelf life of batteries by storing them in the freezer. Just be sure to let them warm up to ambient temp in your pocket or in your hand before you install it in the device to avoid condensation. I understand keeping a spare on the rifle but if you have other spares, cold temperature slows the chemical reaction. Just FYI. |

Shrink wrapped bricks of cocaine are waterproof enough to be dumped in the ocean and then recovered. So shrink wrap / cling filming each battery would be a solid start. Putting one in a balloon like heroin would also work. **Edit** Found a better solution. The Photon Freedom keychain light (Red light version) uses a single CR2032 battery, and is IPX7 waterproof. Its also small, and doubles as a useful flashlight. 1. Put in tiny ziplok bag. 2. Cut piece off a square of an used mylar bag you use to seal your long term storage food in. 3. Cover baggie with piece of mylar by folding it over and sealing with hand held heat sealer on 3 sides... or use you wife's hair straightener if you dont have a propper mylar bag heat sealer. 4. Trim the border up close to reduce size and cut a small notch in the sealed border to make tearing open the mylar super easy. Now your 2032 is ready for exposure to anything for 10 years. No air, dust, or water can get in. It won't get a hole, is double sealed, and is wrapped in a micro Faraday cage. |

Waterproof storage + an extremely useful LED light should you need it. |
| I wrap my 123's with electrical tape the long way, 1.5x or 2x around. , sealing the contacts from moisture and etc and preventing them from a possible drain situation. perhaps that will work. you can buy wide electrical tape. then just stuff them in your grip or whatever. |
