Here is the deal fella's. I have this factory BCM rifle I am wanting to keep it fairly kiss but I believe every rifle should have a light. I have a kac RAS M4 but I would rather keep it as light as possible. If need be I will throw the rail back on.

My reason for this thread is for opinions on the best budget weapon light (pressure pad preffered) that I can put on this rifle? I will probly have to go with the magpul moe forend for the shear versatility of it.

So let me know what your opinions are. I would like to keep this under $125.00 if possible.

I did a search an did not find anything that have me an acceptable answer. I apologize if this has been covered before.

The rifle below

Elzetta mount and Primary Arms light. No rails needed. you can get a tape switch for the PA light for like $20

I'd keep watching armslist and find a surefire weapon light for $125 to $150.

If you ever go back to the rail throw a Streamlight TLR1 on there. I use them for my rifles/handguns and they are great.

On a budget, I agree with both of those. My Polytac has held up surprisingly well.

The cheapest way I can think of, which is what I used, is a quality handheld light with your choice of mount. I started with an old original Laser Products Surefire 6P which I already had and mounted it on a rail with an excellent Gear Sector holder. Approximate cost of the light $60 and the mount $60. I later added a Surfire endcap with a dual push button/pressure pad for $45 new on ebay and a LED head to increase output. So little by little it added up a bit but was still way cheaper than a dedicated rifle light.http://s1296.photobucket.com/user/Hazzmatt1/library/#/user/Hazzmatt1/library/?sort=3&page=1&_suid=136770796219705080120796314707

There's a company (blackhawk I think) that makes a very simple set of picatinny rails that attach to the FSP. You can then mount a TLR-1 or similar light. This what our department went to for lighting systems on our rifles. I was pretty skeptical at first just cause it looked chinsey but it works pretty well. Just a thought.

This. I love mine I think its one of the best mounting options for those without a rail system. Its simple and solid.

I say save 70 dollars more and buy the ZFLM60 Elzetta light with that mount. It's light, bright, and robust. Also avalible with a tape switch. The 2 cell body provides 1.5 hours  at 235 lumens and the 3 cell body is 2.5 hours 235 lumens.

I use a TLR1 on a MOE handguard from time to time.

I second Elzetta. They make some extremely nice mounting systems (and lights). You can mount a Streamlight Polytac into one of their mounts and stay under $100.

I have one of their mounts on my 590A1 and it's built nice.

Not the lightest but strong, dependable and will fall under your budget with just a bit of looking.

Except, I would use the IWC mount with the EAG Surefire Fury from BCM.
