Ok another noob question for you guys.

If I bought something designed to fit on a weaver mount, would it be able to fit on a quadrail?

Probably.  I've used Weaver mounts on Pic rails with no problems but others have reported issues.  Be warned that Weaver mounts will not be as durable as Pic mounts.
