Got my son a Cav Arms lower and Daniel Defense LPK from DSG when they had the sale.  Then I ordered a Del Ton kit, figuring he could build his very first rifle from the Del Ton upper and Cav Arms lower.

The Del Ton kit arrived on Wednesday, but he was too nervous to start.  He doesn't like screwing up, see?  So I started putting the Del Ton lower parts together on one of my stripped lowers while he poured over the "How to build" thread and watched the video a couple of times.

So tonight, after I'd used the Del Ton LPK already, he says he's ready!  We haul out the lower cut open the heavily fortified LPK bag and shit!  Two hammers!  Of course, there ain't no trigger!  And the bolt catch roll pin is also gone.

Also, the trigger guard has a cavity in the front, but no sign of a detent.  I'm assuming the unexplained allen screw that was in the bag gets screwed in to hold the forward end of the trigger guard in place.  Is that accurate?

I'm also going to need the 5/64X1" roll pin that holds the buffer detent in place.  The FAQ in the Cav Arms industry forum says the pin is attached "to this sheet".  I'm guessing an instruction sheet is supposed to be included with these lowers, but, again, nothing.

So where does somebody find a 3/32X1/2" and 5/64X1" roll pin at 8PM on a Friday night?

Not sure what to say about the trigger guard - it's integral on my Cav Arms lower. As to the buffer detent, I know that some people do run their Cav lowers with no buffer detent.

Oh, I'm not worried about the trigger guard as much as the other missing parts.  This lower has an integral guard as well, but it would be nice to have a spare for another build, and having all the bits that you paid for is also nice.

I popped off to the auto parts store and picked up an assortment of roll pins that claims to have a 3/32X1/2" that should work for the bolt catch and a 5/64X1 1/4 I should be able to trim with a Dremel for the buffer.  That'll let him get most of it assembled, anyway.

Already dropped an email to DSG about the mixup, but it just sucks that I didn't realize the problem til after closing on a Friday night

I got my Cav MkII lower and the dealer had lost the small parts. One of those parts were the roll pins you are talking about. I wanted it together so on the buffer detent I found a finishing nail that just happened to be the correct diameter. I cut it off, blued it, and put in the detent as a "temporary" measure. One year and many thousands of rounds later its still in there going strong.

I had the other roll pin in my spare parts collection. Home Depot and Lowes might have what you need.  The Cav Arms lowers are, to some of us, the Cat's Ass. They are light and fit well. I love mine and would buy another it I could find one locally.

Found a couple of roll pins at the auto parts store.  I'll have to trim a quarter inch from the 5/64 buffer detent pin  But then I encountered a problem that stopped me dead.  I popped the trigger out of the lower I'd put the Del Ton kit in, he put it in the Cav Arms and it doesn't seem to fit at all.  The base of the trigger scrapes the guard, it doesn't seem to return as far as it should, and has to be pushed down into the well hard enough to flex the receiver slightly.  It also won't clear the selector switch hole, even pressed as hard as I can against the base of the fire control well.

I started a thread in the Cav Arms industry forum, with pics

I'm stumped.

Just replied to your thread in the CavArms forum.  As for the buffer detent, I wouldn't even bother personally.

Thanks, it was a help.  Got the selector switch in and it's sort of cycling, though I still have to manually push the trigger forward.  I'll lube hell out of it and see if that helps.

Any suggestions on the mag well?  Should I just go after it with some emery cloth?

Sorry didn't notice the part about the mags.

If you're still having trouble with the trigger rubbing the trigger guard, I'd get with whoever sent you two hammers, and have them fix that issue.  Try the other trigger and see if it causes the same problem.  Or take a bit off the bottom of the trigger and hit it up with some paint or cold blue.

ETA:  The narrow fire control well is normal, pretty sure all Cav15 receivers are like that.  The mag well issue is somewhat common.  Mine didn't have a problem with it, but I can see how some would due to the manufacturing process.

Thanks again.  Apparently, Cav Arms' doctrine IS to hog out the mag well with a file I think I'll try what the other poster did and get a nice chunk of wood and some emery cloth.

I've already dropped a line to the guys I purchased the lower and LPK from.  Sadly, I didn't even realize there was a problem until everybody went home on a Friday night.  I expect Monday before they even read it.  Prolly next week before I see any parts.

I oiled the fire control group (well, CLPed it) and it seems to be a little better.  I guess we'll see what happens with use.

Thanks again for the help.

I wound up trying a few different trigger groups in my Cav lower as a couple had problems resetting properly. I think the clearances in the trigger well are just plain problematic in that lower. I do now have a Jard nonadjustable single stage in the Cav lower and it works just fine.

Just thought I'd update this, as I was quick to post when I got a messed up LPK.  I emailed DSG late Friday night about the problem.  First thing Monday, Zack from DSG emailed me back that the trigger and pin were on their way and not to worry about sending the extra hammer back.  He also included an extra disconnect spring to replace the one I launched, no charge.  Parts arrived Wednesday via express mail.

Thank you DSG, and thank you Zack,   The problem was corrected quickly and completely.  Kudos!

Sadly, because of business and weather restraints, we haven't yet test fired the rifle.
