Mods, I promise this is a technical discussion, just bear with me 
Back story......I do some part time work at a gunshop, mostly AR's ie, FF rails, barrel installs, LPK, etc. I also sometimes fix customers mistakes on builds, and do appraisials on parts coming into the shop, or trade-ins. So my partner (boss) says "hey check the safe there is an A2/A1 kit that some guy wants to sell us." His asking price was a little high to me without ever seeing it so I said Ok i will check it out. So I pull it out of the safe and it took me a minute to figure out WTF I was looking at. I have seen some Bubba'd guns in my day, crap installed incorrectly etc. But this has to be in my top 5. So check the pic out and see if you can spot whats wrong. I took a quick pic with my iphone and then tried to figure out what happened. Anybody care to guess how this was put on? If you really want the parts, I'd make a counteroffer consistent with what you think it can sell the parts for. Just cut off the delta ring and remove the barrel nut, however its screwed on. Its a parts gun, it seems. - CW He won't like my counter offer. I won't post what he was asking but it was almost double the price of one of these kits. However that being said I think he wanted to trade it towards a future purchase. So I will let the boss handle that one. |

the carry handle looks a little beaten up too. other than the obvious F up how is the rest of upper? Eh, looks like stevie wonder did the touch up paint on the receiver, as he missed a couple of spots. Barrel has a little life left in it, A2 handguards are the early ones and the rest of the kit was new. The BCG was in pretty good shape. Upper had correct marking but was refinished by touch up paint. |
