Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - What's the story with the Barrett REC10 308, seems to be OOS everywhere

The Barrett REC10 looks like something I'd to learn more about and perhaps buy.  Can someone fill me in on the story with this weapon?  All online vendors are OOS (except one or two that seem sketchy).  Even on GB there's only one for sale.  Did sales never really take off?  Did something cheaper come along, e.g., the SIG 716i, and make it unviable?  If it's still in production, who has them in stock, or are all sales going to government sales now?  Thanks

They stopped production before the company sold along with the REC 7.  Production of the REC 7 is about to start back up and I believe the REC 10 is supposed to start mid 2025.
