A few years ago, I traded a complete Bushmaster flat top upper for an A2 upper and some ammo. It didn't occur to me at the time to ask what brand of upper the A2 was. What's the best way to find out?

There are only a handful of manufacturers that actually brand their receivers with a manufacturer mark so to speak. Colt, FN, Armalite & a couple of others. Otherwise it's just another receiver that was contract machined. Can you post detailed pics of both sides so we can be of better assistance? Thanks.

Does the mark on the upper look like the one in this thread?

The raw forging for the receiver is from Anchor Harvey. Not sure who could have machined it, though.
