[ARCHIVED THREAD] - What next??

I want to do another build (go figure). I am torn between doing an M16A4 clone or a .308 SASS build. I have a stripped stag lower but am trying to figure out what to pour my money into. What do yall think would be the better choice given the conditions our country is in right now? I have recently gotten into precision shooting and love my bolt gun but want something simi auto. Should I go 5.56 or .308?

If you go with a .308 you will need an AR10 lower. If you already have a 5.56 you could try a 6.8spc using an AR15 lower.

I know that, but before I start buying anything I am trying to decide on a build. I am between the 5.56 or .308. I will end up doing another 5.56 but right now is the question. The 6.8 just isn't my cup of tea, im partial to the 6.5 grendel.
