Im in the same boat right now, looking for a decent optic in the 500$ dollar range. The bushnell seems to be a good choice although i've seen alot of people mention the "Super Sniper 20x42 30mm Rifle Scope". Leupold and Swarovski would be nice but they're high budget. I'm still searching for the right one so I'd like to hear everyones thoughts also. My range is capped out at 200yrds and I'd want to be able to see the target clearly so I need something high power myself.

Not to knock the SS, I've owned them & they are just fine, however the glass in the B&L4200 is far superior IMO.

Here's mine but they aren't on AR's. The 1st and 4th from the left are Rugers wearing 3200's. The 2nd and 3rd are M700s with a 4x16x50 and 6x24x40 mil dot respectively.

They start around $600 or so. The fluted stainless guns are more. They are the bolt gun standard and respond very well to a little tuning. My M700VLS in 223 shoots routine 5 shot 1/2 MOA groups with my reloads.

I might have to look into these alittle more, maybe thats the way to go instead of a upper.
