I am going to buy the Wheeler upper receiver vice block for my build.

I was curious what the width of this was. I do not have a bench vice and will have to buy one. What is the minimum size vice I would need? Like 3in, 4in, 4 1/2in? I cant find a measurement for the wheeler block.

mine is 3.5" long i would suggest a 4" vice at least

edit: with it closed its 2.9 ish...not sure winch measurement you were looking for

Sorry I didn't specify. I meant the closed measurement, thank you for providing both, I didn't think about how long it was.
