Does anyone know what has happend to Colt? It seems like they just dropped off the face of the earth. Someone told me that they are just doing military and LE contracts right now. They lost the M16A2 contract to FN. The only military firearms I see them producing is the M4 and the .45 pistol. Does anyone know anything else about what Colt is up to these days?

They're making AR's, 1911's, Python's, SAA's, Anaconda's... basically everything except their little 380's.

Colt are the only maker of the M4 and for uncle sam and the allies.Tens of thousands of them. They used to have a president that didn't help the company very much, to say the least, but a retired 3 Star Marine General is now running it very efficiently and the company is doing very well with good products that are second to none. Don't forget they were the Co. that brought the Ar15 weapon into actual production that we now enjoy, and count on.

Have they really made any revolvers yet? I keep hearing about it, but never see any. Course knowing Colt they'll want $ 1500 for a Python...

Yes, my local dealer has a Python in stock (6" ss) and said he could get Anaconda's easily enough.

They're expensive though. Right around $1000.

They were discontinued for a bit, Colt said they didn't figure people would want to pay what they'd want to charge. We'll see how right they were. :)
