Dipping my toe into the SBR relem.
Have the lower approved for a short barrel so now its time to get an upper. Any one company any better than another when it come to the extra abuse SBR's put out? Is any one company a hard stay away from in this area? Does barrel profile make a difference on these shorter lengths? Should I get a low cost PSA and learn by doing? Thanks |

Are you going to suppress it? That might help everyone out.

I have been beyond impressed with the Geissele super duty uppers I have seen lately.
Due to the BCG and the accuracy, I'd take that over anything else in that price range with zero questions asked. |

If mostly or dedicated suppressed, then Sionics and Overt Industries are good options.

I bought an 11.5” upper built by RifleSpeed with a Criterion Core barrel, Geissele rail, and their quick adjust gas system. I have a YHM Turbo K with the direct thread adapter that I leave on and was shocked at how little gas I get to the face. It’s basically none and I’m left handed. I think it’s well worth the added cost and the minor maintenance required of the RifleSpeed system.
