| I'm trying to decide between the DD 10.3in 300 upper and AAC 9in 300 upper. Both are about the same price. This will be for a suppressed SBR build. Which would you buy and why? |
| To be honest it is a toss-up, they are both solid uppers and are both worth the money. I have the AAC upper and have never had an issue, can't speak firsthand on the DD upper but their products are always great. Get whichever you like best (looks wise) would be my advice. |

You could always do a coin toss. I have the short DD upper. It's been flawless in functioning, but it's not my most accurate 300 BLK upper. That honor goes to my DD 16" 300 BLK upper. |

What suppressor do you have planned to use on it?
If you have an AAC already, just get the AAC upper. The suppressor mount comes with it, and is ready to run. Personally, I like the 9" barrel with blackout. For reloaders, there is more data available for 9" barrels, and it's just the perfect length for my carbine length free float rail to look good on. If you don't have an AAC can, and length isn't a bother, it's a tossup. |

I just bought the 9" AAC upper. It is super light, I love the URX III hand rail. I might replace it with a Spike's BAR rail when I get my can. For now, the URX III will stay. It is a great rail, lightest on the market if I remember correctly. The upper is beautiful. The NiB BCG that AAC uses is not the best finish, I bought a WMD NiB BCG that looks a lot better.
I haven't shot it yet, but I can imagine I won't have any issues. I like the fact that AAC built this, and they are the inventors of the .300 BLK |
