[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Which ACOG Compact reticle?

I want an ACOG compact. How do I decide which reticle to purchase. I am a Deputy Sheriff and so, this is mounting on top of a patrol carbine (which I haven't purchased yet, either).

I have always deer hunted with a cross-hair, but it sounds like the cross-hair isn't very popular for my application.

Red triangle and the Red cross-hair have been the most popular for compact ACOGs.
