I'm looking into getting one of these triggers as I've heard good things about them. Is the ACT worth the extra $20 over the QMS? I do like the NiB finish on the ACT.

They are really close, I have an ACT in my defense rifle and I just built a rifle for my daughters BF and we put in the QMS and frankly, I like his better.  Both are smooth and crisp, but his has less take up, which isn't necessarily a function of just the trigger.

I use the ACT in three of my rifles. I have not yet tried the QMS for comparison. The ACT has the smooth takeup of a standard GI trigger with thousands of rounds on it, and it has a fairly crisp break.

I have ACT and QMS. I like the way the QMS feels.  I will save the $20 buck from now on.  YMMV.  And while tight I am not a skimper. I always buy what I like or quality over mandatory savings.(I don't own any $89 barrels)  Both triggers are quality.

I haven't used a QMS trigger, but the one I "lent" a friend likes it better than the ACT in my rifle.

QMS triggers for me. They work fine and they're a bit cheaper.

Very useful thread.  Saved me $20 just reading it.

As I understand, the QMS and ACT are the same.  The ACT has a nickel-boron finish trigger, being the only difference.

I could be wrong though?

And that nickel boron is a coating that changes tolerances on precision interfaces.  So yes and no.  AGAIN, they are both quality.  I like the feel of my QMS triggers, you may not.  Get both and decide is the best way.  I did.

Yeah, you're right.  I thought that it was just the trigger that was nickel but looking at it again I see that it's all the parts
