Basically, I have ordered an Aimpoint Micro T1 already but it hasn't shipped.

I've been thinking that the smaller tube on the T1 might be too restricting, so basically what I want to know is if the smaller tube is an issue compared to the Comp M3 or M4s.

Just kinda thinking about switching to the M3 or M4s over the T1, but I like the size and weight of the T1. Which ever one I chose will be Lower 1/3 co-witness.

Opinions?

I can't offer you a comparison between a T-1 and a M4, but I can offer a different perspective.

I ran EOTechs exclusively (512 and XPS series). I loved them, and still do. I resisted an Aimpoint T-1 for the longest time because I feared the "tunnel vision," and feared losing FOV. I can say in my experience, that those fears were unfounded.

Not saying one is better than the other -- I still love the EOTech reticle over the Aimpoint Dot, but I like the size and weight of the T-1 over the EOTechs. In regards to performance, I wouldn't hesitate to grab either one. I think you'll be well served with staying with the T-1.

Since you ordered it , get it, use it, if you don't like the 20mm you can easily sell it or trade it for a 30mm Aimpoint.

I use my Micro 4moa on my 16" Noveske and put my CompML3 on my LMT 10.5" MK18.

FOV is nearly identical in both IME.

In some cases, the Micro wins simply because it's profile is smaller than the CompML3's.

If I had to choose one, I'd go with the Micro.

It works extremely well.

Had a pair of Eotechs, but the graininess of the reticule made it difficult for me for precision shooting so I dumped both of them. I went to an Aimpoint PRO, and it was a steal at $399.  If you are keeping both eyes open, there is zero loss of peripheral vision.

I liked the size and variety of the Eotech reticule, but the precision of the PRO won me over.

Just my opinion, YMMV

I guess I'm gonna stick with my T1 and see how I like it. It's my first optic, I've shot with a buddies EO Tech but I've been an Irons only guy for a very long time. Figured I would give the Aimpoint a try on my new build.

Thanks for the input everyone.

You bought the best so quit second guessing your purchase and go shoot and enjoy it

Aimpoint PRO is my favorite, micros aren't bad as primary optics but I do slightly prefer the larger window, makes picking up the dot a smidge quicker.  Micros really shine as offsets (or piggybacked) IMO.

if you use the sight as intended  ( both eyes open ) the field of view wont be an issue . if you try to use it like a rifle scope your gonna have problems .

BMad's reference is not FOV but leniency of head position on the stock to find the dot with the dominant eye. 20mm is not as easy as 30mm AP's.

FWIW, I have three T-1's and won't go anything else.

Stop shooting with one eye open.

These aren't scopes so FOV and "tunnel vision" is NOT an issue.  Yes. The T1 has a smaller "eye box" then a full sized Aimpoint. I own both and the difference doesn't bother me, but it is noticeable. I prefer the T1 for it's size and weight.

IMHO the micro is the perfect size for a single dot reticle.

When you shoot with both eyes open, and focus on target like your suppose to, it will disappear because of it's smaller profile.

This and thank you for the clarification.  One will generally not notice the difference to be significant when shooting from a traditional position.  It's noticed more when shooting from less than ideal, non-traditional situations.
