Looking to get an 18" SPRish upper from BCM and have narrowed it down, tell me what you would go with and why?

1.) BCM Mk 12 Mod 3X-Bravo (DD14)

2.) BCM Mk 12 Mod 4-Bravo (VIS12) (Polished Stainless Barrel)

I like the narrow DD HG's but I was wondering if you can tell me how the VIS12 feels compared to the DD lite and which one will be lighter (looking to build as light as possible)

Is the VIS12 a full one piece upper/HG?

Thanks,
J

The DD setup should be lighter.  The VIS is a one piece style upper, but only the top portion is 1 piece.  The bottom half of the rail snaps off with two tabs in order to tighten/change the barrel.  I own both systems (in different sizes) and would go with the DD unless being able to swap barrels quickly is high on your priority list.  Both are solid platforms though.
