I am looking for a BUIS but not sure which one I want.  I have looked at the LMT BUIS which so far that is the one I am leaning towards.

Some of the others that I have looked at are the:
A.R.M.S. 40 & 40L
GG&G A2 and MAD
Troy Industries Rear Folding Sight
YHM Rear Flip & A1 Style Flip Rear Sight

Which one do you use and how do you like it?  Anything I should know about the LMT if I were to get one?  Any opions would be appreciated.

***Update***
I plan on using the BUIS with my EOTech and will be co-witnessing it.  Folding or stand alone is not really a concern.  Just looking for what is the best BUIS available.

ARMS #40 or LMT.  Can't go wrong with either but it depends on your purpose.

You didn't specify if you wanted a fixed buis or a folding buis.

If you are interested in a fixed buis you might want to look at the LaRue fixed buis, in addition to the LMT fixed.  GandR tactical has them for sale here...  LaRue stuff for sale

Here is a pic, taken from C4iGrant's thread.....

ARMS #40.

I've used ARMS #40s and #40 As for a long time. Never
had a problem with loss of zero or function, besides normal wear and I see no need to switch.

Just ordered the YHM.  I'll post after I get it.

IMHO

LMT BUIS = #1

It's built like a tank and still has the elevation dial for when I want to shoot iron's at 500yrds.

LaRue BUIS is my second choice because every LaRue product I have seen is excellent.

I have my LMT BUIS Cowitnessed to my Aimpoint/LaRue mount. It sits perfectly in the lower 1/3 and I can completely ignore it by looking over the top. The advantage is, if for some reason I can't see the dot, I just drop my cheekweld lower and use the irons. No flipping, and no way in hell any impact is going to damage that BUIS without taking the whole rifle out of service.

40L, low profile for under all optics, spring loaded automatic return into battery, pos. lock down, dual aperture, or large aperture only, and same plain optional.

I was just making this decision for myself and went with the 40L from Legal Transfers.  Can't wait to get it.  I wish I had more experience with it to help you out but I like the low profile of the 40L.

If you want a BUIS system in conjunction with a mount specific to your EOtech, you should try the RRA Dominator shown here.  So far I am very satisfied.

I have an LMT BUIS and no optics right now. I really like it  but have been researching using it with an Eotech.  I have been told it fills/blocks the Eotechs sight window quite a bit by some  but havent had any hands on experience.

I think most of the sights you listed are great, but the ARMS #40 remains my favorite, primarily because it is spring loaded.

For a flip-up, the Troy is an awesome sight.  I voted for it.  I can deploy it faster than I can deploy my ARMS 40L and it feels a little more solid.  The ARMS is a good sight, but I just prefer the Troy.

Now, if you want a fixed BUIS, look no further than LaRue.

I picked up the YMH flip up sight and I haven't had any problems with it.  I picked it up because it was about $70, cheaper than the others, and it is my back up sight.  Not my primary sight that is used constantly.  Usually it just sits there and never even gets flipped up.  It seems pretty sturdy and I have no complaints.  I am also not in a life or death situation everyday where my back up sight might come into play.

I have a few ARMS 40's, (and a Knights 2-600) and they are nice for all the reasons listed. BUT, I purchased a TROY set for my boss, and I really REALLY am jealous. It doesn't spring up like the ARMS, but it doesn't have any play whatsoever when it is up. I know I will catch some for that, but it is solid as solid can be. My next rear flip up will be TROY. The matching TROY front flip is also the cats ass.

I like my yankee hill machine flip up BUIS. It is a pretty nice sight. I got it for 65$ from rbprecision so I can't complain to much. I ordered some other stuff and they didn't have the sight I wanted in....they had a shipment of the YHM flip ups so they gave me a deal. Glad I got it.

Dedicated Irons never lie, and seldom fail.

Look to the optics as an enhancement and nothing more.

If the optics have a mount that allows for dumping them quickly, all the better.

Optics are great under good circumstance.

We seldom need them under such conditions.

Call me old school.

I really like the LaRue.

Dirt simple, easily removed, and rugged.

I would use the Troy under an ACOG or if using something like a PVS-14 behind a dot sight.

I bought both the 40L and the GG&G.  I liked the GG&G.  Both cowitnessed with my Eotech.  I just liked the more solid feel of the GG&G.  Hey, if it's good enough for the DEA, it's good enough for me.

If you're using an Aimpoint or Eotech, there's no reason to use folding sights at all, front or back.  Just get a fixed BUIS and set up your optic for lower 1/3 cowitness.

I just received a Dominator yesterday for my shorty. It's replacing a LaRue rail and A.R.M.S. #40. For a CQB type weapon, I think this might just be the ticket.

Would the ARMS #40L work well with an Aimpoint CompML2? Is that a good combo? Anyone have that?

I own two ARMS #40s and three Troy sights (two rears and a front). Although I like both brands very much I think the Troy sights are a superior design and more rugged. I like the push button release on the Troys as well. Opinions vary of course, and what works for me might be complete shite for someone else.

Both of my ARMS equipped carbines have served me very well, so I have no intention of replacing the backup irons on either. That being said the next time I have to install a BUIS on a new weapon I'll probably install another Troy, unless I try something new like the LaRue or LMT.

Here are two of my BUIS equipped carbines. Please excuse the purple hue-it's the camera not the rifles:

Second and first generation Troy BUIS. The flipup aperture on the left is the newer version:

The good news is that all of the models you mentioned in your poll have a loyal following, so whatever you end up buying will be a well made piece of gear
