The rig I am building has a 16.1 inch mid-length recon...do I go with a carbine or H1 Buffer (or H2)?

thank you!

Either a standard carbine buffer or an H buffer will work fine with that upper.

Would there be any potential negatives/drawbacks to running a H2 buffer?(16in. mid-length)

I run my 16" midlength Operator with a standard carbine buffer, M16 BCG and also bolt extractor Crane O-ring, it runs fine.

There's nothing wrong by using heavier buffer weights it's just a matter of personal preference.

The only possible negative/ drawback with a very heavy buffer might be not being able to use light ammo loads.
