I need a new gas block. Because the set screws have been stripped on my present gas block, I want the new one to be a clamp on style. I need a rail on top for by flip up iron sight, either a rail or a sling loop on the left side, and rails on the right and botton sides if possible. Rails on the right and bottom would just be a bonus. Any ideas? |

Brownells didn't have what I was looking for. I settled for THIS, which is pretty much what I was wanting, but for a lot more money than what I wanted to spend. Also, I already had a flip up sight, but this block comes with one already installed. Maybe I'm the only one, but I've had the worst luck with the typical set screw secured, four rail gas blocks. I tend to shoot 300 to 500 rounds each time I carry my AR out and the gas block just won't stay tight for that long. It's really not that big a deal until you forget the allen wrench at home. Also, I don't like malfunctions in my AR, no matter how predictable thay are. |
