Well I did a lot of searching and am still confused but did learn a hell of a lot. I am still new here and dont even have my AR yet as it only ships of on Jan 2nd. I looked in the PMAG post and found THIS website. There are 4 different PMAGS and I dont know the difference. I read some have windows, so dont I dont know what they are talking about. I am looking a PMAG that will fit into my RRA Elite CAR .223. Help lol  |

There are only three types of PMAGS, a 30-round mag with windows, a 30-round mag without windows,
and a 20-round mag. They came in 4 standard colors, black, FDE (flat-dark earth), OD green, and foliage green. Although there was a short run of blaze orange. There was a proposed semi-transperant "smoke" mag, but it has yet to come to market. They will all fit your AR unless something is out of spec. |

I personally like the black, non-windowed PMags. I don't see a need for the window and even if I did, it' so small that it can only give you an idea of how many rounds you have left anyway so to me, it's not worth the extra $3 or whatever they cost.
The good news is the black non-windowed PMags are the ones that Magpul is making the most of right now so they should be a little easier to find. Don't forget to get some 20 rounders as well. Much nicer for shooting prone or on the bench. |

You might try your local shops, they will usually call you when they come in. When did you order your rifle? I ordered Stag.....likely to get in ...... March or later! (my first AR....can't wait!) |
