I currently have a Colt LE690 that I use as my all around AR. Mostly plinking on the farm, but some (non-competitive) bench shooting from 50-200 yards. I mostly keep it set up with iron sights and then throw an optic on for longer ranges.
I'm close to purchasing another AR...not sure which would be a solid choice. I anticipate my current Colt LE6920 to have a red dot and sling added to it, so it would a better all around AR. In terms of the second AR, I will not be competing. This will again be mostly for punching holes in paper and plinking on the farm. Is a S&W M&P the way to go? I guess I'm just looking for an excuse to buy a new AR. Budget of 1k |

Another vote for build 
I'm biased though because I have never purchased a complete AR 15. The closest I have come is a PSA complete upper and lower. I tend to be a fan of Mega forged uppers and lowers (I have 1 complete and 2 half completed builds), but lately they seem hard to come by. I'm actually thinking about trying Aero for my next build. |
