I just ordered a CMMG 18" upper for my nearly finished lower. My question is do I order a carbine or rifle length buffer? and what brand do you guys suggest?

It depends on which stock you get. If you get a A2 stock or Magpul PRS stock then you'll need a full length rifle receiver extension (buffer tube), Armalite AR10 Buffer and Armalite AR10 Buffer Spring.
If you use a collapsible stock then you'll need a carbine length receiver extension (buffer tube), 308 Carbine Buffer and 308 Carbine Buffer Spring |
