Sorry for the toal NOOB question but.... I have a new RRA Elite Car M4. It has two sling attachments on the front. One on the bottom of the gas block and one around the barrel. Why? I assume it's just for different types of slings? Also on the stock (collaspable) there is one on the bottom and a slit on the top. Any advantages of using either configurations? |

the upper and lower sling slots on the CAR stock are for the standard sling. The sling goes around the tube. you can then sling it top or bottom, here it's shown slung from the top.  detail of loop  the side sling swivel on the front (I believe that is what you described) is used if you have something underbarrel that interferes with the standard sling swivel. you can also use it for a "tac sling" Is this what you have?  if there is a sling swivel on the toe of your stock you can also run a carry strap from there. Get one of these and don't worry about sling swivels.
