Just finished my ar today and now I need some sights but there's so many different models of eotechs. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

I currently use a 552, I just liked the idea of being able to grab AA batteries from anywhere and get the sight up and running if there was ever a problem.

Plus, I was able to buy it used for a good deal, because guys like to buy the newest, bestest, and sell off their old stuff...

I have a 512, cheap as can be, but no complaints.  I like being able to use AA batteries.

I have the EXPS2-0.  I like the relatively compact size, QD mount, side buttons and lower 1/3 co-witness.

I have the same thing. Uses same batteries as my flashlight. The mount is rock solid.

Yep, I like the 512. I don't own night vision and the AA batteries are a plus.
I vote 512.

Got  a Dunham's  Sporting  Goods nearby?  Go  in &  buy  something.  They  give a 20%  off  coupon  that is  good after  a week.  My  local Dunham's  has Eotech  512's  for $430.00  regular  price.
the  coupon will save you  $86.00  if you want  a 512.

Anyone know where the best price is to get the exps2 at?

I got mine at SportOptics.com. They are a new industry partner. I think the total was under $500 shipped which was pretty close to the best I could find for that optic.

Edit: Added link and edited price.

Compact  = more rail space and less weight plus QD lever that will hold 2 MOA or better if removed and remounted and built in riser for lower 1/3 cowitness. Also, the transverse instead of inline battery will reduce recoil related problems(or myths)

IMHO it's a no-brainer EXPS2-0

Mine

I'm also looking for an EOTech and that's the best price I have seen on the plan jane 512 A65 with free shipping and no tax. How were they to work with?

They were excellent to work with: fast shipping, good communications. I highly recommend them.

Great minds think alike.  My G23 arrives tomorrow via the brown truck.

I love my XPS2-0.  The EXPS 2-0 looks great too, but since I don't put a magnifier behind it, I'd rather have the buttons on the back––so they don't accidentally get bumped.  Plus it was cheaper.  ;o)
That said, I'm one of those people who is always selling optics and buying new ones to try out different things...this XPS may get sold just to try out an MRDS (which could go on the AR and the Buckmark).

i have the XPS2-0 and love it, and with the magnifier it works fine if you flip it to the side
