First off, I'm new here. So excuse my noobness, but thanks for having me!
I have decided to pick up a DD upper from smartgunner. I am going with a 16" mid-length LW profile. However, I cannot decide on which rail length I want. I have had both the 9.0 and 12.0 recommended equally. So what do y'all say... would you choose a 9.0 or 12.0? Or it really doesn't matter? Thanks |

Do you want a fixed front sight or do you want a folding sight? Do you care if you notice the front sight through your optic (if you are getting one) or not? If you know the answer to either of those you should be able to choose which one you want.
yes you can get a low profile gas block with the 9 inch and those questions may not work but I am basing them on either a FSB and 9 inch rail or low profile gasblock and 12 inch rail. |

I would like a fixed front sight, and once I do pick up an optic - no, I don't care if I notice through it. Thanks for the help |

I have one on my LMT and it is the cats meow. I have the Omega X, but you have more options. |
