| What ia a good lower receiver to buy. Anvil Arms is backordered through April. I have seen alot of Mega, Spikes and Stag's mentioned on here. Any preference? |

Much of it comes down to personal preference on the logo etc...Some lowers have a few more machine marks than others. Most are manufactured by one of only a few tooling Co. anyway. Check this out Most guys on this site lean towards one or two lowers because of their personal experiences with them. I like DPMS, Stag and RRA but there are lots of other good lowers. It all depends on $$ and what kind of roll mark you prefer.... |
Yeah, whatever you do don't buy a lower from any company who has ever made a mistake ![]() bige1769, do not listen to ignorant comments like this. Pick a lower you like and buy it from a reputable dealer. All manufacturers ship out a lemons now and then, it happens. On the off chance that get a lemon made from a reputable manufacturer and you get it from a reputable dealer, you can rest assured it will be resolved quickly. Any company who hasn't produced and released a sub standard component simply hasn't been in the business long enough. People make mistakes, it is how they handle those mistakes that set them apart from the others. RRA will make good on their errors. in812, he asked what lowers are good one, what do you recommend for him? EDIT Steve's post in the RRA Industry Forum quoted below. The important part highlighted in red

| Spike Tactical lowers are competitively priced and either made by LAR or API. The SL-15 model is a multi-caliber lower and it makes it easier for conversion kits. When I ordered the lower from Spike's Tactical, my FFL received it in 2 days. The lowers have numerous amounts of options as far as custom stuff and engraings. I guess it all comes down to how much you want to spend and what you are going to make in the end... |
