Ok.  So I'm building a 7.5 upper as a pdw.  Mainly home and trunk gun kind of theme. But question is would you go with a flash hider, which I don't think will work on a 7.5, or a brake?  Also which model of either?  Pros and cons?

Kind of struggling with this one.

That thing will be stupid loud if you ever had to use it to defend yourself , you might want to consider that when your purchasing your muzzle device.

Something like this is what you want:
Damage Industries Projector sleeve and brake
Here's the brake to go with it

I used the Troy claymore on mine it's loud, huge fireballs, and let's off a nice shockwave you feel in your chest  but it's awesome and balance the weight out nicely and the teeth on the end can be used as a dna collector not to mention it looks cool

I agree, it will be insanely loud in a home atmosphere. My favorite muzzle device is the Griffin comp, it looks like a BCM comp but cheaper and it actually performed better than the battle comp. The next one I want to try out is the Spikes Dynacomp!!!! YMMV

You need a suppressor for a 7.5" AR15.  No two ways about it if it is to be used in a practical sense.  There aren't a lot of muzzle devices that are going to hold up to the pressure if they are of the type that directs all the blast forward, like a KX3.

You will soon see exactly what I mean, and a covered outdoor range session will get more than a few bystanders, fellow shooters, and range officers to look at you cock-eyed every time you light one off with that fire breather.

I have an m4-2000 but you can't use it with anything less than a 10.5.  Maybe I use the brake for that can and only keep the can on when next to the night stand.  However I'm pretty sure I will shoot it a lot more at the range than I ever would in my living room.  Picking up what I'm putting down?

So I guess to rephrase the question which would be best for range / trunk use?  I have a 10.5 I can use at home with the AAC.
