hi, i have done my research on these, and money is not an issue because i will save if i have to for the better purpose product. i am trying to decide between an acog and an aimpoint for my 14.5 carbine. i will primarily br using this for varmints and such because the carbine is a lighter carry weapon for approximately 20-100 yards. i also would want to take in account if SHTF, if the aimpoint has as much advantage as the acog out to a couple hundred yards for human targets. anyways I have not heard of very many people using these optics for varmints and wanted to ask you guys, thanks in advance, andy

The acog will give you a definite edge in terms of accuracy, this will be significant at the longer ranges when shooting at a smaller critter

Varmints and CQB are two opposite ends of the spectrum, optics wise. The ACOG would be my choice due to the more precise reticle.
